Club News - Charity Golf Day 2010
May 2010
On Friday 21st May 2010 the Rotary Club of West Woodspring held its annual charity golf day at Weston-super-Mare Golf Club.
With over 120 players taking part and some superb weather (some very red/sun burnt people were coming off the course) a great day was had by all.
With some fierce but fair competition the overall winners were team 'Bray and Griffiths' (pictured below).

With help from the major sponsors - Howard Motors (Weston-super-Mare) and Brewin Dolphin (Tanuton), numerous local businesses and the participants the event raised £5000 for local, national and international good causes supported by the Club. These include The Prostate Cancer Charity and The Alzheimer's Society.
In-coming Club President Roger Buckley paid tribute and expressed the Club’s thanks to those who played, sponsored and organised the event and the members of Inner Wheel for providing much needed subsistence (Bacon Butties) at the half way mark.
