Club News - Public Speaking Comp. 2007

The Rotary Club of West Woodspring in partnership with The Rotary Club of Weston-super-Mare organized a public speaking competition for school children as part of a regional/national Rotary competition.

The local winners, who go on to the regional final in Tanuton, were chosen over two nights at Worle Community School.

The first night saw the Junior competition with six teams taking part. The winners were from Banwell whose subject was "Should Banwell have a by-pass?"

The second night was for the older Intermediate age group and this had five teams taking part. The winners were from Broadoak School who were speaking on the "The Life of Rosa Parkes"
